With the holidays behind me, and a new business year well underway, I’m finding it hard to get back into my healthy routine. Is that happening to you too?

Last week my business coach said point blank, “Deb, you are out of alignment. You need to put self-care first. Because if you are not feeling good, you are not going to be able to help others feel good either.”

She was right. With the break in schedule over the holidays, I had allowed myself to veer way off course from my usual routine. I ate food that I know doesn’t make me feel good. I skipped my daily meditation and I didn’t take the time I need for self-care to replenish and repair so that I have that much more to give.

It’s hard to perform well on the outside, with the wrong fuel on the inside. If this sounds like you too, join me over the next three weeks and let’s clean up our act together. I’m calling it “Operation Self Care”

Week 1: Clean up the Inside

  • Purge the pantry and fridge of any holiday food leftovers (even gluten free)
  • Stock up on seasonal greens, fruits and lean proteins.
  • Make multi-purpose meals and have extras on hand so there is no excuse for grabbing for a bag or box.
  • Eat your largest meal in the middle of the day.
  • Drink half your bodyweight in ounces of water each day to support healthy detox.
